Those who are ready to experience "the next big thing" (aka the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone) can now do so by watching Samsung's first official commercials online.
Granted, we've seen the "Jeremy" teaser trailers in the past that were yet more hype surrounding Samsung's forthcoming flagship phone, but now there are four full-fledged commercials that aren't part of some saccharine story involving a blonde-haired boy working for Samsung as a secret-agent-esque messenger boy.
Samsung anticipates selling 50 million units of the Galaxy S4, according to a report about the published commercials by SamMobile that was published on Wednesday, April 10.
"Slimmer yet stronger/Unimaginable clarity/And the innovation continues/Shows both sides of the moment/Senses when you're close/Tells the whole story seamlessly," the first minute-long ad says of the Samsung Galaxy S4. This ad resembles something one would see about a new BMW or other sports car, and like the S4, appears slick and seamless, clean and stylish. All is underscored by rapid-fire classical music and punctuated by the motto at the end, "Samsung Galaxy S4: Life Companion."
Then we have a commercial for the Samsung Galaxy S4 that looks completely different in every way from the first. Here we have 30 seconds of a handheld, jittery camera that looks (intentionally) amateurishly done by a young man who takes a trip and is told to take pictures on his travels by Mom (all is subtitled, to boot). We see that the photos he takes and uploads for Mom to see come with sound: a snazzy feature of the Galaxy S4.
The third ad shows some basketball players behind the scenes trying to get pumped up before going back out to finish up the game. How are they getting pumped? By blasting their funky music via the Samsung Galaxy S4 feature Group Play. Go, team, go!
We finally have an ad that vaunts the Samsung Galaxy S4's handy-dandy S Translator, which is just adorable and needs to be seen to be believed.
