'Amazing Race' Season 29 To Hold Tryouts In Bay Area; Final Contenders To Fly From Panama To Seoul

One of the most-watched reality series of all time is set to come back to the small screen as "The Amazing Race" season 29 will premiere in April. After being axed from CBS's fall 2016 lineup, the network finally dropped hints about this year's adventures and destinations. The show's production has also recently announced about the upcoming tryouts in the Bay Area.

"The Amazing Race" season 29 has become one of the most anticipated TV shows of 2017. This follows the decision of CBS to cut the show from its list of shows for 2016's second half. Avid fans of the fast-paced reality show were worried that the season is already canceled. CBS though ended the speculations and announced late last year about the return of "The Amazing Race."

Scheduled for an April 21 release, "The Amazing Race" will have a special two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. EST. The network has not yet revealed the complete details of the upcoming season, but fans from the Reality Fan Forum spilled highly potential destinations of "TAR" 29. The whole cast and crew of the show are said to meet at the Grand Hope Park, Los Angeles for a pre-race event which marks the start of the season.

Premiere spoilers have it that the first hour of the two-hour special will feature the pre-race event. After L.A. gathering, the 22 individual racers are reported to take Panama flight, which is believed to be the starting point of the main competition. As per forum discussion, the race will probably end up in Seoul, Korea for this season. According to Inquisitr, destinations in between might include Brazil, Tanzania, Norway, Italy, Greece, Vietnam and South Korea before the remaining contenders from the last Leg fly back to the United States.

Meanwhile, "The Amazing Race" production has just announced about its upcoming tryouts to be held in the Bay Area of Santa Clara, California. The event will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, where adventure seekers are being called out to participate in. Aspirants will be gathered at the Travel & Adventure Show in an elimination game sponsored by the Taiwan Tourism.

"The Amazing Race" is CBS's long-running reality game show that follows contestants as they travel around the world. Participants are engaged in weird tasks, and some have strategically sabotaged each other as seen in the previous seasons. "The Amazing Race" has already won multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, making it arguably one of the most popular reality series.
