Street Fighter V To Reveal New Characters, Find Out Here

Street Fighter V is the latest game in the Street Fighter series. It was released on February 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. To this day, Street Fighter V garnered favourable reception from players because of its graphics and gameplay but some players in the gaming community voiced out some complaints saying that there is a lack of single player content and characters. Still, Capcom continued with their success and introduced a new DLC to the game named "A Shadows Fall" and was released on July 1, 2016.

With such a well-received fighting game released, Street Fighter V replaced Ultra Street Fighter IV at the Capcom Cup 2016 and Capcom Pro Tour. And since then, Capcom has announced of plans to reveal new characters for Street Fighter V Season 2. The First reveal would be done at a launch party.

According to Yahoo Esports, the reveal would be done during the launch of Lupe Fiasco's newest album "Drogas Light". This may come as shock to others as to why an artist would tie an album launch with a gaming company's reveal, but to clear things up, Lupe Fiasco is an avid fan of this game.

As per PVPLIVE, fans of Lupe Fiasco and players from the gaming community can expect a lot during the event as there are multiple programs planned aside from Lupe Fiasco's album launch. The event would include multiple Street Fighter V matches between players, and Cosplay.

Capcom mentioned that there would be 3 matches in the event namely between, Justin Wong vs. Daryl "Snake Eyez" Lewis, Ryan "Filipino Champ" Ramirez vs. Daigo "The Beast" Umehara, and for the main event it would be a rematch of last year Capcom Cup Grand Finals between Du "NuckleDu" Dang vs. Ricki Ortiz.

The event would be held on Feb. 15, 2017 from 6pm till 1am at Folsom Street Foundry located at 1425 Folsom St. San Francisco, CA 94103. The event is free, however interested parties need to come early as the event is first come first served.
