A few days ago, Nintendo made a revelation about their season pass offering for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This will give fans access to two different expansions that are meant to be released during the course of 2017. At present, the Big N said that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still under development.
This only means that the first part of the expansion content that was initially scheduled to be released on day one of the game's launch will have to be postponed for now. These items include the three bonus chests in the game's Grand Plateau area.
As what can be seen in the long video, the news came from an interview on one of the episodes of Nintendo Voice Chat by IGN. With Nintendo of America Marketing Manager Bill Trinen, the interview provided details about the DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Additionally, Trinen gave an explanation that is related to the decision of Nintendo in creating a season pass content for Breath of the Wild. The Marketing Manager in America also said how tough it is to make the announcement, according to Game Rant.
Trinen said during the interview that Nintendo might be wasting an opportunity in providing more content for its fans for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This is if the company will just release the game without any discussion about its post-launch DLC. He emphasized that it might just be a waste to make one game and just leave that be.
It is said that since the DLC is still under development, it will not be available yet on the day or the week after Breath of the Wild's release. On the other hand, Trinen did not confirm as to when fans should expect the content to be released.
