"Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite", the sequel to the classic video game, "Marvel vs Capcom" will be released by the end of this year, and will be available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Once again, the Marvel and Capcom universe will go head-to-head as the "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" is slated for a Q4 2017 release.
This time, the classic three-versus-three gameplay will get revamped for its grand comeback. The original "Marvel vs Capcom 3" game enabled players to choose up to three characters, as well as three assist modes. However, that won't be followed this time, as Capcom will instead follow a two-versus-two gameplay to make the game simpler and less complicated.
Changes in Marvel Vs Capcom Revival
According to Christian Post, Mike Evans, the director of production at Capcom, they want to make Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite interface more minimalistic and cleaner. The original X-factor mechanic is also replaced by the new Infinity Stones. The main reason to this is to make the game more streamlined, adhering to the trend of today's video games.
The Infinity Stones
As of now, two stones are still shown. The first stone was focused on power, while the second one was for the time capabilities. The infinity stone can also be used anytime the player wants.
One of the changes is that the different stones also have its own respective fighter effects. According to Enstarz, "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" has confirmed the appearance of six characters. These are Captain Marvel, Captain America, Mega Man, Ryu and Morrigan. The rest of the roster of characters will appear in the near future as it nears the release date of the game.
