HTC One, launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year, is now being delivered into the hands of customers, since April. Now we can report the good news that if you are planning to buy the handset, Canadian carrier Rogers has reduced the price to $99.99 on a three-year contract.
Rogers usually charges $199.99 for the HTC One on a three-year contract, but the carrier is giving away the phone for half the price, from May 3 to May 5 only.
"The deal gets even better if you've already pre-registered for the $100 trade-in offer, for which the time to purchase the phone has been extended until May 19th. While the Galaxy S4 is a serious piece of machine, we were enamoured by the HTC One's build quality, low-light performance and restraint implementation of Android," reports Mobile Syrup.
The $99.99 price for the HTC One on Rogers brings it on par with the BlackBerry Z10 and $100 cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the BlackBerry Q10. The $100 limited-time offer on the HTC One makes the handset cheaper than the Sony Xperia ZL, which is priced at $124.99 on the carrier.
Other Canadian carriers, like Bell and TELUS, are charging $149.99 for the handset on a three-year contract.
The HTC One, with its top-end specifications, made quite an impression at the launch and the handset was awarded Best New Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet at the MWC 2013.
The HTC One sports a 4.7-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone houses a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 2-UltraPixel primary camera (4 megapixels) with LED flash, BSI Sensor and Opticial Image Stabilization. The HTC One has a 2.1-megapixel HD secondary snapper, 2GB of RAM, 32/64GB of on-board memory and a 2300mAh battery.
