'Pokemon GO' Guide: New Evolution Items At PokeStops

More Pokemon also means more monsters on your turf. With the addition of over 80 Pokemons, trainers will have to look for new evolutionary items to help their partners. However, some of these items can be extremely rare.

Pokemon GO Guide: PokeStops Exclusive

Here's a list of evolutionary items that can be obtained in PokeStops:

Sun Stone: Will evolve Gloom Into a Bellossom / Sunkern will be able to evolve to Sunflora
King's Rock: Evolves Slowpoke into a Slowking / Poliwhirl into a Politoad
Metal Coat: Scyther into a Scizor / Evolves Onix to Steelix
Dragon Stone: Seadra into a Kingdra
Upgrade: Evolves Porygon into a Porygon 2

Using these items, trainers can evolve their Generation 1 Pokemon to Generation 2 Pokemon. But as much as many would like to find these items, their drop rate varies. They're so elusive that VG24/7 reported that some trainers go to multiple PokeStops without even taking home any of the items.

Another way of obtaining these items involves going through a streak. CNet shares that there is a rumor among players that an evolutionary item can be obtainable after a 7-day streak bonus. However, this hasn't been confirmed yet. For now, trainers are advised to be patient and keep looking.

    Other PokeStop Bonuses

Other than these evolution items, two new berries can also be found in PokeStops after the Gen 2 update, and that is the Pinap and Nanab berry. The Pinap berry doubles candy being handed by pokemon when being caught. While Nanab berry allows Pokemon to slow down to make them easier to catch.

These berries have higher drop rates than evolutionary items, so players can definetly find more of these going around. Pokemon GO is out now and can be downloaded for free on all IOS and Android devices
