Ortigas, Philippines - A viral video showing hundreds of bees plaguing one of the cities financial hubs is worrying employees of nearby establishments as rumors claim it could be a sign of the imminent day of reckoning. It's been a big talk now ever since 2017 started. But how do experts translate this phenomenon?
Gabz Laurel, the uploader of the viral Facebook video, told GMA News that she and her officemates were on break when they noticed bees swarming outside their office building. The 21-second video instantly gained thousands of shares from netizens, some of whom were not only amazed but also alarmed. Many people quickly jumped into conclusion that the strange event is a manifestation that something bad might happen soon.
"There is a myth about bees, that they can sense a change in nature and incoming natural disasters... God have mercy on us," one netizen claimed.
Uncontrollable Bees -What Do People Say?
Since it does not really refer to any random events, insects such as bees have long been linked to react in an upcoming disaster. "Their extinction could be an evidence that a calamity might hit again. However, it's not just bees, but any unusual animal deaths and misbehavior," said Metro.
It's worth noticing that there have been mysterious events like this across the globe. In recent years, as per CBC, millions of birds, crabs, fish, and other small marine life have been reported in the U.S. in enormous deaths. Europe and even South America experienced such catastrophes. Though, experts initially blame "humans" for contributing climate change and other interventions that could lead to our extinctions.
Along with these signs are the rising number of earthquakes and NASA's discoveries of incoming meteors near our orbit. Biblical signs as other may call it, signifies the connection of "judgment" with such "frequency and intensity" of events our living years might end so soon, found conspiracy site 'Signs of End Time'.

Carl Olson, the editor of Catholic World Report, discredits this allegation, though, debating it is impossible to work out when it eventually happens. "Prediction is not an option.
