Overwatch Update: Did Orisa's Origins Video Confirm That Doomfist Is The Next Hero?

Blizzard recently released a new animation revealing the backstory of the latest Overwatch hero, Orisa, who is a female robot created by Efi Oladele. Did this specific video point to several clues that hint at the highly-awaited Doomfist's arrival as the next playable character?

Overwatch Hero Orisa's Video Hints At Doomfist Inclusion?

According to PVP Live, the introductory video reveals that Efi built Orisa from the parts of broken OR-15 defender units, which Doomfist annihilated during a skirmish at the Numbani airport. Because of this, Blizzard has already confirmed that Doomfist is a character in the game and that his gauntlet has finally been reclaimed. Keep in mind that Doomfist is only a moniker as the title is passed down to those who wield the weapon at that specific time.

For this reason, there is currently someone in the game's universe who seems to be using the gauntlet for selfish or even evil purposes judging by the damage at the airport. It seems like Blizzard is still slowly trying to build up the potentially upcoming character who might actually cause more harm than good in the plot. Since no other heroes have been teased in the Orisa video, it could be plausible that Doomfist might be releasing next.

However, keep in mind that Blizzard has been known to take a completely unexpected route like when they released Ana first instead of Sombra. Similarly, many fans were shocked following the reveal of Orisa as most believed that the studio would be releasing Doomfist after the offensive hero. For now, fans will just have to wait for more hints regarding the potential villain.

All Of The New Hero's Skins

That aside, another report goes into details regarding current set of skins, nine as of the moment, the new hero has. The hero herself looks like a female version of a centaur with four legs and green horn-like features. In line with this, most of her other skins seem to be based on bugs or animals.

Her rare skins are called Dawn, Plains, Sunrise and Twilight while the epic one is called Camouflage. One the other hand, Orisa's legendary skins are Carbon Fiber, Megasoma, Dynastinae and Protector. Those who want to play the new Overwatch hero can try her now on the Public Test Region.
