‘One Piece' Spoilers: Charlotte Katakuri Endangers Bege's Assassination Plot; Jinbe Dies?

The latest chapter of “One Piece” has featured the start of the huge tea party, which is also known as Sanji and Charlotte Pudding’s wedding. Charlotte Katakuri was finally introduced as well. In the new chapter, there are hints that Jinbe will die.

Katakuri Sees Through The Assassination Plot?

In the recent chapters of “One Piece” about the Whole Cake Island Arc, it was revealed that the Straw Hat Pirates and Capone Bege have entered into an alliance. Though they both had different reasons, they had only one goal and that is to stop Sanji and Charlotte Pudding's wedding. Luffy wants to save Sanji and Bege simply wants Big Mom’s head.

During the wedding reception, one of Big Mom’s three commanders was introduced, who also turned out to be the second son of the Charlotte family. Katakuri, who is also known as Dogtooth, possesses the ability to see into the future but for only a few moments. Bege knew about Katakuri and his ability but did not disclose this to the alliance during the plotting for Big Mom's assassination. With Katakuri's presence, the plan is clearly at risk.

Katakuri displayed threat when he was able to see that one of the earlier guests, Jigra, was planning to kill Big Mom so he killed Jigra on the spot with jellybean bullets. In theory, Bege most likely entered into the alliance with Luffy as a distraction for Katakuri. Most likely in Katakuri’s foresight, he will see the Straw Hats Pirate attempting to assassinate Big Mom and this gives Bege the chance to kill Big Mom as they have planned it out.

Jinbe’s Last Words?

The first scenes of “One Piece” Chapter 860 featured Jinbe and the Sun Pirates. Jinbe’s intention to join Straw Hat Pirates and to leave Big Mom’s crew was revealed here. However, Jinbe explained that he couldn’t do both of those things because Big Mom threatened to kill at least 10 of the crew mates if he did leave, explaining Big Mom’s roulette scheme.

Jinbe knew Luffy was going to do something crazy to save Sanji so he decided to betray Big Mom and save Luffy on his own. He instructed the Sun Pirates to leave as soon as the ruckus in the tea party starts so they can save themselves. This scene is most likely hinting that Jinbe will sacrifice himself to save the Straw Hat Pirates and eventually die since he would still be killed if he left Big Mom’s crew. Given his just personality, Jinbe would rather die valiantly than have his death be a burden to others. Aside from that creator, Eiichiro Oda has led readers to believe that Jinbe will eventually die because of the hints he left such as him wearing a skull-printed kimono recently.
