The latest chapter of "One Piece" has featured the progress in Luffy and Capone Bege's alliance. The manga has finally laid out the plan of the alliance to assassinate Big Mom. However, the plan relies on one risky move involving someone called "Mother Caramel". Luffy, Bege and the rest of the gang are willing to take that one chance.
Big Mom’s Only Weakness Is Mother Caramel
In “One Piece” Chapter 859, Capone Bege revealed that they only have five seconds to kill Big Mom during the assassination plot. And that five-second window can only be opened when she is in a vulnerable stage. This is the only time when any attacks can have any effect on her, and this will involve Mother Caramel's photo. There's this one time at a tea party when everyone was surprised by Big Mom’s wailing because someone accidentally touched Mother Caramel’s photo.
They have no idea what the backstory is, as Eiichiro Oda has yet to reveal it, but Big Mom suddenly bawled over the torn picture, giving out ear-piercing cries. She got into a violent fit, fell on her knees, and shockingly bled from the fall. Bege figured out that Big Mom’s iron skin can only be penetrable when her defenses go down in a shock. This is why they are going to tear Mother Caramel’s photo in front of her during Sanji and Pudding's wedding.
Who Is Mother Caramel?
Mother Caramel, otherwise referred to by others as Carmel, was first introduced in “One Piece” Chapter 859, which is the latest chapter. Big Mom’s daughter only revealed that Mother Caramel was the one who saved Big Mom in her early years. So far, little is known about Mother Caramel but the fact that she could be the key to defeating one of the Yonko, makes her existence intriguing and a big deal.
The manga has yet to reveal the photo of Mother Caramel and since it remains a mystery, some fans have speculated that it could be Jewelry Bonney, also known as Big Eater. Bonney is one of the twelve pirates from the Worst Generation. There are simple theories going around as well that says Mother Caramel is the real Big Mom or might be Charlotte Pudding’s real mom. Lots of theories are swirling around the internet right now but some are certain that Luffy will somehow have a connection to Mother Caramel, too. Fans will have to wait till next week to find out.
