Injustice 2 Update: Joker Arriving To The Game? Ed Boon Drops Some Hints

Over the past several weeks, fans are getting a glimpse of what Injustice 2 can offer as NetherRealm Studios constantly launched a series of reveals for the game. Recently, fans have seen a more detailed look at the game's plot with the fourth part of Shattered Alliances trailer. They have also seen several characters arriving at Injustice 2.

Ed Boon played a huge part in building this hype for Injustice 2 dropping some new information about the game. He even teased certain characters such as Joker. Aside from Joker's return to the second game, Boon also hinted that Mark Hamill will be voicing him again.

On a recent tweet shared by Boon, fans saw an old vine of Mark Hamill and Tara Strong performing their Joker and Harley Quinn voices. Meanwhile, fans are curious if how the team would introduce Joker's return since he was in the accurate leak. However, it is noted that Boon had previously teased several characters previously and ended up not appearing in the game.

As previously reported, Boon teased Constantine's appearance to the game where fans anticipated until now but did not happen. They ended up getting Doctor Fate instead, still considered as a decent character though. Also, Boon hinted Red Hood's arrival to Injustice 2 but there are no signs of Gotham's vigilante outside the comic book.

Possibly, the Joker could be considered as one of these Ed Boon pranks. Surprisingly though, accurate leaks say the opposite since the character was seen on the confirmed list. Thus, there is a huge chance that fans might see the Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming sequel.

Joker not appearing in the game would be a shocker, although he could still be added as a DLC character later on. Nine of these DLC characters have already been confirmed excluding the pre-order bonus Darkseid. It is possible that Joker might be one of these nine.

Injustice 2 is scheduled for May 16 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
