There have been supposed recent leaks that reveal the next three Overwatch heroes from Doomfist down to two completely new characters. Similarly, Blizzard might also be planning a new event for the game's upcoming anniversary.
Redditor ZWE_Punchline has discovered many leaks from 4Chan detailing the future heroes coming to the game. While Orisa and the New Year's Event might have been leaked the same way, fans should still take the following information with a grain of salt. Moreover, they should also wait for an official announcement for Blizzard regarding the complete details of any upcoming characters.
The leak states that there are three Overwatch heroes under development that will be released later this year. The second quarter hero is the highly awaited Doomfist who is rumored to hit the public test realm (PTR) within a few days and is a "Reinhardt & Ulted Lucio/Road" counter with his rapid charge and grapple ability. His ultimate is an area of effect (AOE) with 100% damage towards any targets in the center and a five-second knockdown to those within five meters of the impact zone.
Next, the third quarter hero is a girl named Bria who is still in her conceptual stage but is nearing initial testing soon. This hero specializes in area denial and has a rapid wall ability similar to that of Mei. With this in mind, Bria can lock off certain areas of the map but not all multiple routes at once. Her ultimate ability electrifies anything between two of her "Wall bars."
Finally, the fourth quarter hero is a man named Ivon who is planned to be a "Russian Defense hero." He is a Torbjorn and Symmetra hybrid who can produce "weak swambots" and control their "directions and tactics" with his abilities. There will be a planned delay before each new swarmer and he needs to collect resources (think Torbjorn's scraps) before making more. Finally, Ivon's ultimate will double the current number of swarmers.
For visual representations, the leaker claimed that Doomfist is like Augustus Cole from the Gears of War series. Bria, on the other hand, the smallest hero and has a "blue-yellow Steampunky" teen design with a wrist computer. Meanwhile, Ivon is a "tall lanky elderly man" who wears a fitting black business suit with red accents and is holding a Tablet device along with a small, suppressed pistol.
That aside, the leak also tells of a May 24 Overwatch event in honor of the game's anniversary with more animated shorts on the way. The developers have also been allegedly talking about a Singleplayer game mode but it would act as an extension to the game if anything else.
Incidentally, the PTR has been updated with changes to several heroes, as per PVPLive. Heroes like Genji, Hanzo, and Reaper were buffer while Soldier 76 and Reinhardt were nerfed. Moreover, Orisa's shield ability has a smaller cooldown but her weapon's power has been decreased by 15 percent.
Fans will just to wait for more information about the upcoming Overwatch heroes. The game's anniversary is right around the corner and Blizzard has yet to reveal anything related to it. However, there is a chance that it might have a few surprises for fans.
