Overwatch hero Symmetra has gotten plenty of attention since her recent changes. However, there is one more Symmetra buff that could also help her allies in battle.
Despite falling under the support category, Symmetra has no way of providing heals to her allies. In fact, some fans have even argued that she should fall under defense due to her turrets and semi-offensive playstyle. Nevertheless, she still finds her own ways to provide her own support through shields and her teleporter.
The major changes towards her kit greatly improved her viability as her measly 25HP shield ability was changed to a more robust moving shield. Moreover, the hero also gained yet another ultimate ability called the Shield Generator which gave her teammates a whopping 75 HP regenerating shield if they were in the radius. It is also worth noting that her Teleporter ability also gained more shield, making it a bit more difficult for enemies to destroy.
In line with this, Redditor Gaymface brought up the idea of making the Teleporter visible through walls, which would make a useful quality of life Symmetra buff. Just like when Sombra hacks health packs, players should also be able to locate Symmetra's gadget so they would have a good idea where they would end up if they use it. This would possibly also reduce the number of times Overwatch players try to troll using the Teleporter by placing it near a ledge.
In terms of changes, Game Rant shares that the game's latest patch stabilized Genji's ultimate ability. There would be instances when his Dragonblade would not register seven swings due to latency issues. Now, all players can enjoy hacking other heroes with the same number of slashes.
Blizzard has yet to comment or acknowledge the Reddit post regarding the useful Symmetra buff. Even so, the hero is still useful in her own way by catching enemies off guard with turrets before melting them with her primary fire. Those who want to try her out can play Overwatch on the PC, PS4 or Xbox One.
