These 10 Games Will be Removed from PlayStation Plus' List of Accessible Titles for the PS4, PS5

There are 10 games that are set to be removed from Sony's PlayStation Plus service, which is now showing a pop-up message to its subscribers that these titles' days are numbered. This means that, despite grabbing these games prior, they will be withdrawn by Sony from being accessed on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 consoles as September draws to an end.

In the report, it remains unclear when Sony will exactly pull out these games. However, it has been suggested that the changes will take place come October.

ComicBook Gaming has reported that it spotted a list of 10 games that Sony placed under "Last Chance to Play" on PS5's dashboard. These titles are part of the company's PlayStation Plus subscription.

Sony has not revealed the reason behind the potential removal of these games from the service. It has also not been confirmed when these titles are set to leave the platform.

These are the titles that Sony included in the list of departing games on PS Plus:

  • Dragon Quest Builders
  • Dragon Quest Builders 2
  • Dragon Quest Heroes
  • Dragon Quest Heroes 2
  • Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age
  • Gotham Knights
  • LittleBigPlanet 3
  • Toukiden Kiwami
  • The Evil Within
  • Ultra Street Fighter IV

One of the surprising games to be removed here is LittleBigPlanet 3 as this is a game published by PlayStation themselves.

'Last Chance to Play' on the PS4 and PS5 Consoles

According to the report, Sony's Last Chance to Play under its PlayStation Plus service usually marks the last month of a game's accessibility on the PS4 and PS5 consoles for subscribers to enjoy. In this timeline, the 10 games mentioned above will reportedly be unavailable come October 15, 2024.

As of press time, it remains unknown what Sony's new free games are coming for its PS Plus service this October.

The PlayStation Plus Game Subscription

The debate on which game streaming service is the best for gamers has PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and more fighting for the top spot. However, for users who prefer gaming on the PlayStation console, PS Plus is their choice as it has seen its fair share of AAA-rated titles arrive on the platform, available for subscribers to enjoy for free.

Sony's game streaming and online service offers a plethora of new free titles to enjoy each month, available under the subscription program. Recently, Sony added multiple classic games from PlayStation consoles of the past, optimized and remastered for modern gaming experiences. However, these are exclusively available for PS Plus Premium users.
