Huawei's sub-brand Honor launched its newest flagship devices in China a few weeks ago and got announced yesterday in Berlin, Germany. The Honor 9 has a list of specs and features that will turn heads.
The Honor 9 is made out of metal and glass. According to Trusted Reviews, the device comes with a 5.15-inch, 1080p panel and with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The Honor 9 comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner unlike the Honor 8. Powered by Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit Octa-core processor and that is the exact same chip you will find in the Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P10 and with Huawei P10 Plus. This SoC comes with an i6 co-processor and the Mali G71 octa-core GPU for graphics rendering and the Kirin 960 is Huawei's most powerful SoC currently.
The Honor 9 comes in three versions, the most affordable variant comes with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the middle one comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The most expensive Honor 9 unit comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Honor 9 measures 147.3 x 70.9 7.45mm and weighs 155 grams.
The Honor 9 sports a dual-shooter system on the back and both have a 12-megapixel RGB sensor paired with a 20-megapixel monochrome equivalent for enhanced detail. An 8-megapixel camera can be found on the front side of this smartphone, alongside is a 3.5mm headphone jack and the phone's speaker.
Additionally, PDAF and CAF are also included in this package and a 4K video. Also, the Honor 9 runs Android 7.0 with Huawei's Emotion UI 5.1. Keeping the power on is a 3,200mAh non-removable battery and it offers fast charging. The phone can be charged over USB Type-C. The Honor 9 is available for preorder at vMall and Amazon starting today in "Sapphire Blue" for roughly $485.
