On Tuesday, an image depicting what’s considered to be a protective glass cover for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 appeared online. And based on the rendered image, the smartphone's glass screen protectors will have an infinity display panel that will be somewhat larger than expected.
According to Android Headlines, the image leaked was seemingly from Vimax, a well-known manufacturer of tempered glass screen protectors and other accessories for smartphones. Despite the almost no bezels design, the screen of Samsung's next flagship phablet will still apparently achieve the 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
In addition, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8's display panel will also wrap around the long edges of the case. Recent rumors said that the flagship device is expected to be 162.4 x 74.5 x 8.4mm in size, though the thickness of the handset will actually reach 9.5mm due to its camera bump. It will sport a couple of 13 MP lenses manufactured by Samsung Opto-Electronics and put in a horizontal order.
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the first series to introduce rounded display corners for good. If the rumors about the infinity display of the Galaxy Note 8, it will have curved screen edges. The bezels are completely minimal that makes the panel to be clearly labeled as Samsung's Infinity Display. In fact, the top bezel is so small that it looks like there's not enough space for other features such as selfie camera, earpiece and other sensors.
