ZTE is releasing a new smartphone through MetroPCS, which is dubbed as Blade Z Max. The device is a fairly standard budget phone, apart from the fact that it features a rear dual camera system, which is a novelty at its price point of $130.
ZTE Blade Z Max costs just $130, making it the most affordable device with dual cameras on the rear side. The device is capable of shooting photos with blur-rich bokeh or monochrome with its combination of 16MP and 2MP rear cameras. It also boasts an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The ZTE Blade Z Max sports a 6-inch Full HD display and a large 4,080mAh battery, which company claims to offers a talk time of up to 31 hours and a standby time of 528 hours. Its fingerprint sensor, once a staple of flagship phones, is also a part of this budget smartphone. Fingerprint sensor can act as a shortcut button with multiple presses or gestures, as reported by Tech Radar.
ZTE's Z Max has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which is further expandable via memory card up to128GB. The Blade Z Max runs the latest version of Android Nougat. Interestingly, Android O is also expected to come, Tom's Guide reported.
ZTE is giving budget devices not only a dual camera system but also the access to USB-C and the latest Android operating system. The ZTE Blade Z Max should come as a replacement of the last year's ZTE Zmax Pro. The device is priced at $129 and will start shipping through MetroPCS on August 26. If anyone pre-registers for the device then the buyer will be getting a $25 Google Play gift card that can be redeemed after the purchase.
