Apple has just rolled out the iOS 11 Golden Master (GM) build on supported iOS devices with access to registered developer accounts. The arrival of GM release for iOS 11 clearly confirms that the new platform is ready for public release in the next few days.
The GM release of iOS is known to offer highest stability and performance among all pre-release firmware. It is now learnt that Apple will be pushing out the final aka public version of iOS 11 on September 19, which will feature a fully-functional update for all compatible 64-bit iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch hardware.
iOS 11 will be available as out-of-the-box firmware release on newly launched flagship phones including the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Apple has intentionally limited the iOS 11 compatibility to just 64-bit devices in order to deliver the best user experience and performance.
iOS 11 brings a plethora of goodies to iPhone and iPad users such as improved multitasking experience, access to local storage via dedicated Files app as well as third-party content stored on Dropbox, iCloud... etc. Peer-to-peer payments are now possible via iMessage app using the Apple Pay service.
With so much at stake, curious iOS fans would be itching to explore the latest iteration from Apple, ahead of its official release. The iOS 11 GM build can now be installed on supported iOS devices either through over-the-air (OTA) update or by using direct IPSW download links.
If you already have an iOS 11 beta update installed on your device, you could try doing the OTA update by going to Settings > General > Software Update or by visiting developer.apple.com.
Alternatively, if you want to perform a clean installation of iOS 11 GM then you can download and install the same manually, using the IPSW links below:
