The rumored HTC One Mini has been confirmed in an official user agent profile (UAProf) file released by HTC and the handset is speculated to head to U.S. carrier T-Mobile.
HTC recently launched its Android flagship smartphone, the HTC One, which is competing with the Samsung Galaxy S4. Now, it seems, the company is preapring to launch the HTC One Mini to give competition to the Galaxy S4 Mini.
The UAProf file doesn't give a lot of details on the HTC One Mini; however, the file lists a 1280 x 720 display resolution along with a reference to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. UAProf files are used to describe the capabilities of a device, including manufacturer details, model name or number, display resolution and multimedia capabilities.
Rumors of the HTC One Mini have been making rounds for quite some time in the smartphone space and now, we may expect to see the launch of the handset sooner than later. Previous rumors indicated that the HTC One Mini will head to Verizon. However, a recent tweet from @LlabTooFeR hints that the HTC One Mini will debut on T-Mobile.
The @LlabTooFeR tweet says, "I'm not sure that Verizon will launch One Mini in near future...T-Mobile USA will have it for sure..."
Various rumors suggest that the HTC One Mini is expected to feature a 4.3-inch 720p HD display. A Qualcomm 1.6GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor is expected to power the handset. The smartphone is rumored to have 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
The HTC One Mini may be equipped with a 4.3-UltraPixel rear-facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers with Beats audio technology, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The handset may have an anodized aluminum unibody case.
