Microsoft's latest Windows RT ad attacking the iPad using a Dell XPS 10 is one of its best

Microsoft just can't seem to have enough when it comes to its attempts to try and drive the message home - that it believes tablets running Windows 8 and Windows RT are superior to the current market leader, Apple's iPad. The folks in Redmond have now released a new commercial trying to convey to consumers that the iPad is so far behind the times compared to Microsoft's offerings, and this time they use a Dell XPS 10 running Windows RT and Siri to point out all of the iPad's downfalls.

The company had already released multiple ads in the past, showing how the iPad is inferior to tablets running Windows 8 and Windows RT. The company also went after the Samsung Galaxy S4 by creating an ad that pits the pre-paid, entry-level Nokia Lumia 521 up against the Samsung Galaxy S4. Naturally, the Lumia 521 was shown to be superior to the Galaxy S4, price-wise at least. Microsoft is paying millions of dollars for the campaign, so it would make sense that the company would always come out top in its ads.

The latest iPad attack ad is comical in the sense of its content, but once again it has some misleading information. The ad uses Siri's voice to once again point out all of the shortcomings of the iPad, while the Dell XPS 10 achieves everything Microsoft has thrown its way. A major feature Microsoft shows off in the video is that Dell's RT tablet can pinch and zoom its home screen, while the iPad can't; Siri apologizes for not being able to perform that task, and informs the user that all that pinching is beginning to hurt Siri.

Microsoft also highlights the ability to use microSD cards with the Windows RT tablet, while iPad gets poked and prodded with a microSd card repeatedly and Siri has to repeatedly tell its user not to stick the card there, or there, or there. I guess the Apple user didn't get the memo that Apple does not include expansion slots on its iOS devices or removable batteries, but the user keeps trying to jam in a microSD card with Siri getting very annoyed. It's a feature Apple won't seem to budge on, along with removable batteries.

The ad then moves on to the multitasking features of both tablets. The Dell XPS 10 can have two apps running on the display, while Siri apologizes for not being able to do two things at once. Microsoft does top Apple in a sense here; it allows two apps to run at the same time with both the apps appearing on the display at the same time. It's similar to Samsung's Multi Window feature in its Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Siri is a sport about recognizing it's a cool feature and compliments the Windows RT tablet for being able to do this. The video ends with Microsoft showing the price difference between both tablets, and the money Microsoft is paying Siri for these appearances must be going to her head and she responds with, "Oh, that's not cool."

Microsoft's attack ads are beginning to get even more comical with each new release. I wonder if there's a plan to make a similar ad comparing the Lumia 521 and the iPhone 5S when it comes out? If so, we are in for a few more laughs from Microsoft's latest ad campaign. Check out the video below to see the latest ad in action.
