A recently leaked picture of the upcoming iPhone 5S suggests that the handset will have dual-LED flash.
The first half of 2013 is nearly finished and we have already seen the launch of a number of Android devices such as the Sony Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Similarly, BlackBerry also launched its new operating system BlackBerry 10 along with the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 handsets. Now it seems that Apple is prepping for the launch of the next-generation iPhone and iPads.
Apple has already announced the upcoming iOS 7, which is expected to power the next-gen iPhone and iPads. Many rumors of the iPhone 5S have been floating in the smartphone space for quite some time now. A recent leaked picture also indicates that the next iteration of iPhone will have dual-LED flash.
A MacRumors report says, "The rear shell photo shows a vertical pill-shaped window for the LED flash as opposed to a round window, supporting rumors of a dual LED flash for the iPhone 5S. A similar pill-shaped flash window was depicted on a case maker's design drawings that also leaked earlier this week."
It should not come as surprise if Apple includes a dual-LED flash in the upcoming iPhone 5S as many smartphone makers like Samsung, Sony and Nokia are now focusing on the handset's camera. The latest Nokia Lumia 928 and Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom have Xenon flash and the Lumia 925 has dual-LED flash for better photo quality.
However, a dual-LED flash means more power consumption and the MacRumors report suggests that the iPhone 5S will have a bigger 5.92 Whr battery when compared to the 5.45 Whr battery of the iPhone 5.
We don't know when Apple will launch the iPhone 5S but now iFans will be eagerly waiting to lay their hands on the much-awaited iPhone 5S.
