AT&T has been the only U.S. carrier to offer its customers a choice between the 16GB and 32GB Galaxy S4 ever since the smartphone launched. Verizon customers will be happy to know now they can now get their hands on the 32GB model as well.
When Samsung made the Galaxy S4 official, it announced the smartphone would be available in three storage options; 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. When the smartphone went on sale in the U.S. AT&T got the exclusive on the 32GB model while Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile would only offer its customers the 16GB version of the smartphone. It appears that the exclusivity has come to an end as Verizon has announced that it is now selling the 32GB Galaxy S4 for $299 through its online store.
Samsung has included some cool new features with the Galaxy S4, like Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, and Dual Shot. Smart Scroll will allow you to scroll Web pages without ever touching the screen - just stare at the display and tilt the smartphone up or down to scroll through a Web page. The Smart Pause feature works by being able to detect when you've looked away from the screen while watching a video and will automatically pause what you're watching and resume when you stare back at the screen. Dual Shot allows you to use both cameras on the smartphone at the same time and lets you include yourself in pictures or videos you are taking.
The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch 441ppi (pixels per inch) 1920 x 1080 full HD Gorilla Glass 3 display, runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX, is powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, includes 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards, a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto flash and zero shutter lag, HD 1080p video capture at 30fps, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n//ac, Bluetooth 4.0, infrared LED universal remote control, and a 2,600mAh removable battery.
Verizon is offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 in two color models, Black Mist or White Frost. The 32GB Galaxy S4 can be purchased now through Verizon's online store for $299 when signing a new 2-year contract and it will ship by July 3.
