Director Michael Bay released on June 28 an image of the latest vehicle tapped for the "Transformers 4" movie. This time it is not a sports car but the latest iteration of the Freightleiner Argosy truck from Daimler Trucks North America.
The latest vehicle to be casted comes from the same company that supplied the Western Star that served as the vehicle mode of Optimus Prime in the earlier installment of the Transformers movie franchise.
"The adventure continues to transform with a very different offering from Daimler Trucks North America... the imposing 2014 Argosy cab-over truck by Freightliner," stated Michael Bay on his personal blog.
Commenters on the blog have different opinions about the role of the Freightliner in the movie. Some are saying the truck will be Stunticon leader Motormaster while others are saying it can be UltraMagnus.
"Please, let it be the Stunticons...please. All the cars you've chosen will work so good and "the chase from hell description fits nicely if that is the case. Well done sir. Getting super excited about this one," commented a certain Kenny Swezea on Bay's post.
"This has to be Utra Magnus. We already have Motormaster, he is the flatbed old, rusted truck that TheRaginNation talks about. This is a fantastic truck, it would be a waste to make it a Decepticon," exclaimed a certain commenter going by the name Transformingautobot.
So far the director of the Transformers flick has revealed several vehicles casted for the movie. The list includes the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, Pagani Huayra, Oshkosh Defense military truck, Chevrolet Sonic RS, a '67 Camaro SS and an Aventador LP 700-4. According to Motor Authority, there was also a fifth-generation Camaro SS in the set of the movie hinting that Autobot's Bumblebee might take the form of the two Camaros.
The Transformers 4 is being filmed at the moment and is set to hit the big screen on June 27, 2014.
The cast will also include Mark Wahlberg playing the character of Flynn Vincent, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and Nicola Peltz.
The setting of the Transformers 4 takes the audience three years after the events the "Dark of the Moon," the third installment of the franchise.
