HTC One Max: New details reveal LTE-Advanced radio and Key Lime Pie

The HTC One Max will join the HTC One and the HTC One Mini in the company's quest to regain smartphone market share. The HTC One Max will be the company's latest phablet and new details of the upcoming handset have now been revealed.

The HTC One is HTC's first big success in a long time. The company was once one of the top smartphone manufacturers, but once Apple and Samsung joined the party, HTC quickly lost what it took years to build. The company was no longer viewed as a major player in the smartphone world and would have to create something very impressive if it ever wanted a taste of its glory days.

The company proved the skeptics wrong when it unveiled the HTC One at Mobile World Congress in February. HTC managed to build an absolutely gorgeous smartphone that also had the specs to make any smartphone fan take notice. HTC One's most popular feature was its design, mainly its anodized aluminum unibody enclosure. The small detail was big enough to begin to turn things around for HTC.

The company already has two upcoming smartphones that will use the same recipe for success and will both include the popular aluminum case found on the HTC One. The HTC One Mini will be a smaller, less expensive version of the HTC One and will take on the Galaxy S4 Mini in the "mini" smartphone world. The company also plans to release a phablet to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with the HTC One Max.

A new report claims the HTC One Max will be compatible with LTE-A networks, which will provide speeds of up to 15 Mbps. The report also claims that there will be 9 variants of the device based on region and connectivity.

The HTC One Max is expected to feature a 5.9-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display with very thin bezels to take on the Galaxy Note 3's expected 5.9-inch display. A 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor will power the Max and will include 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. The Max will also ship with the 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera found on the HTC One and the same front-facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound. The phablet is expected to be one of the first devices to run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and will include a 3.300 mAh battery.

The HTC One Max is expected to ship sometime in November, just in time for the holidays.
