If you own the HTC One then you'll be pleased to learn that that the smartphone has started receiving the much-awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update. Per reports, users of the HTC One in some parts of Europe are now receiving the software update.
The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update has apparently already made its way to Scandinavian countries, according to an Android Central report, and weighs in at 417MB. Moreover, the report reveals that the update is being pushed out to the 4G variant of the HTC One.
"A few days after Taiwanese HTC One owners got their update to Android 4.2.2 the latest firmware update is starting to roll to some European 4G versions of the phone. Posts on the Android Central forums indicate that the 417MB update to version 2.24.401.1 is live in Scandinavian countries, and we suspect it won't be long before the rest of the continent follows," reports the site.
Last week, users of the HTC One (unlocked version) in Taiwan reported receiving the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
The update brings several new features and improvements to the device. These include launcher bar enhancement, widget panel rearrangement, introduction of quick settings, new lock screen style, camera enhancements, battery percentages in notification bar, and more.
With the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update making its way to Europe, it seems that users of the HTC One in the U.S. will be getting it soon.
