Android Police has reported that some desktop users may see a new set of widgets towards the end of the Google Search homepage, which has been usually vacant.
According to reports, people who registered into their Google accounts today are seeing a series of useful cards underneath the search box. The said cards contains widgets that can be beneficial for everyday use.
The said widgets are Weather, Trending, What to Watch, Stocks, Local Events, and COVID Updates.

While the widgets may be self-explanatory for some, Android Police's report provides further description of each widget. The Weather widget, for example, utilizes geolocation data to provide current temperatures, sunrise and sunset times, as well as a three-day prediction weather forecast.
The Trending widget, on the other hand, appears to be a basic search tool.
Meanwhile, the What to Watch widget suggests streaming programs like "Euphoria" alongside theatrical releases such as "Uncharted." The Stocks widget provides users an update of the Dow Jones.
The Local Events widget informs the users of nearby concerts and other events. Last and certainly not the least, the COVID News widget simply redirects users to read current news regarding the pandemic.
What Is Google Discover?
