Searching for a fourth stimulus check? Residents living in four U.S. states can look forward to new stimulus payments dropping this year. Some of these bonuses will total up to $1,000. Eligible applicants are recommended to file their applications immediately.
According to The Sun, certain U.S. states just reported new state tax laws and budget surplus in their inventory. Officials seem to have decided to convert these money as additional payments for the year.
Most of the new payments will be sent automatically to the recipient's recorded address and bank account. However, they can only receive the payment if they meet the eligibility requirements.
Golden State Stimulus Program
Many Californians are probably familiar with the Golden State Stimulus program, so residents should be happy to know that another round could drop in the coming months.
The extra payments will be funded from the unexpected surplus in the tax budget. Governor Gavin Newsom revealed that the state recorded a budget of $286.4 billion for the upcoming year, which features a surplus of $45.7 billion outside projections.
Newsom promised that the extra money would be used as "an additional rebate to the taxpayers."
Support Budget for Teachers in Florida
The second program on this list is the stimulus payments for teachers in Florida. For reference, teachers for Pre-K through 12-grade already received a similar $1,000 payments last year.
Governor Ron DeSantis just announced that the state budget for this year would allow a repeat for the said program. Officials estimate they will send out another round of $1,000 payment to teachers.
Indiana State Reserves
Indiana's stimulus check program started a bit differently from the previous two, but the end result is almost the same. The new payments are prompted by a state law that requires officials to refund taxpayers if their reserves hold more than 12.5 percent of the general funding pot.
The state reportedly holds around $4 billion on its reserves, which equates to 23 percent of the general funds. Governor Eric Holcomb promised that "we have an obligation to put this money back into the hands of taxpayers instead of living it in the hands of (the) government," per The Sun. Unfortunately, full details for the program are yet to be available.

Excluded Workers Fund in 2022
Last on the list is New York's Excluded Workers Fund for 2022. The program was prompted by more than 90,000 New Yorkers, some of which are likely undocumented immigrants who work in the city.
Governor Kathy Hochul agreed that "the Excluded Workers Fund is a critical lifeline to thousands of New Yorkers who were an integral part of keeping our state running during the worst moments of the pandemic." Unfortunately, full details on this program are yet to be available.
Petition for a Fourth Stimulus Check
Americans who are not included on the list are recommended to watch out for the online petition created by Stephanie Bonin. This petition is asking a $2000 per month recurring check for the duration of the pandemic.
Her petition already reached 3,032,340 out of its 4.5 million goal at the time of writing. Note, however, that the people supporting this program are slowly dwindling. This probably happened because supporters know that the petition is not a guarantee that the program will get approved.
