Samsung is introducing two new premium models for its popular Galaxy Book series. Fans can look forward to interesting upgrades and expanded features on the incoming Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360.
Samsung posted the official unboxing video for both these units on Sunday, Feb. 27. Both will launch in the market on April 1 and will be available for pre-order starting March 18.
Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360: Specs and Features
For reference, both incoming laptops are designed after last year's Galaxy Book series. Sources from Gizmodo explain all the specs and features to watch out for.
Both the Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Book 2 Pro 360 will have 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch versions. This enables users to choose which widescreen spec suits them.
The Galaxy Book 2 Pro dimensions are 12 x 7.68 x 0.44 inches. Combine this with its weight of 1.9 pounds and users will have no problem with the laptop's portability. Its 15-inch variant may go up by 0.48 inches in thickness and by 2.58 pounds, but the convenience it offers remains elite.
Both also feature a 1080p AMOLED display with a max brightness of 500 nits. This is a 33% increase from last year's model. Note that the screen still uses the standard 16:9 aspect ratio.
Both units are available with three color options: Silver, Graphite and Burgundy.
In terms of performance, both units will be powered by either 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1240P or Core i7-1260P with Iris Xe Graphics. The units can be upgraded to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 1TB NVMe SSD.
Be warned that one of the biggest differences between the units is the connectivity ports. The Book 2 Pro 360 will be limited to a Thunderbolt 4, two USB-C, and a microSD card slot. In comparison, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro will feature Thunderbolt 4, a USB-C, a USB-a, an HDMI, and a microSD card.
Fortunately, both units will still support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1
