Apple Releases Fifth macOS 12.3 Developer Beta
In the recent report from Apple Insider, the tech giant released a fifth macOS 12.3 developer beta version for Macs and Macbook users.
For background information, the fifth version was released after the fourth update debuted last Feb. 22.
In case Apple owners missed the release, the exciting feature added in macOS 12.3 beta is the Universal Control. It allows users to utilize their Mac's keyboard, trackpad and mouse on an iPad running iPadOS 15.4.
In relation to the Universal Control feature, the fifth macOS 12.3 developer beta also fixed the abrupt disconnections that occur on the initial connection.
Amusingly, this macOS 12.3 beta is now available for Apple Beta Software Program subscribers.
Apple Beta Software Program Vs. Apple Developer Beta
According to the Apple FAQs, the tech giant allows users to test out pre-release applications through Apple's Beta Software Program. The comments from the users assist the Cupertino-based technology company to identify the issues, resolve them, and improve the operating system.
Apple also clarified that since the operating system is still on the trial basis, it may contain errors or flaws and may not operate smoothly as compared to the commercially released software. Users should make sure to back up their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, as well as their Mac, using Time Machine.
The tech giant noted that there is no need to back up the Apple TV since purchases and data are kept in the cloud.
On the other hand, the Apple Developer beta is defined as a "code to consumer" style where developers will be able to utilize it to test, deploy and create apps.
Some of the benefits offered are accessibility to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS beta versions, the ability to use TestFlight to publicly beta test apps, code-level support, and the capability to make applications available on the Apple App Store, per the Tech Republic.
Since the Apple Developer beta program is more technical, majority of users choose the Apple Beta Software Program.
