"Genshin Impact's" incoming Hydro user may break the game once he is released.
A recent leak uploaded to the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit reveals that Kamisato Ayato, the game's incoming Hydro user, is coming with more than just a few buffs.
Details on Ayato's Buffs
According to the post from u/sarthakydv, Ayato received multiple buffs and changes for his elemental burst, Kamisato Art: Suiyuu. The leaked information states that the damage of Kamisato Art: Suiyuu's Bloomwater Blades at level 10 was increased from 99 percent to 119.6 percent, while its duration was increased to 18 seconds from the previous 15 seconds.
However, it seems miHoYo replaced Kamisato Art: Suiyuu's attack speed bonus buff with a normal attack damage bonus of 15 percent for 15 seconds. Previously, all characters aside from Ayato can enjoy a 20 percent attack speed buff while Kamisato Art: Suiyuu is active for 10 seconds, per PCGamesN.
u/sarthakydv explained in his post's comments section that one of the parts of Ayato's constellation now gives the attack speed bonus that previously came with his elemental burst. Another user, u/dyrin, added in the comments section of u/sarthakydv's post that the new elemental damage increase is around the same magnitude as the 3 percent HP scaling.
Despite these changes to Ayato's elemental burst, the energy cost of using the skill remains the same.
That's not the only change Ayato received. The leak states that Ayato's new passive ability allows him to regenerate two energy points for every second he is not in the field. However, this passive ability will only activate if Ayato has less than 40 energy points.
Previously, Ayato's passive ability increases the damage done by his elemental burst with 3 percent of his max HP.
Unfortunately. the leak didn't say if Ayato would be regenerating enough energy points to use his elemental burst in this manner.
Additionally, Ayato's second constellation would increase his max HP by 50 percent instead of the previous 40 percent, in addition to adding one more Wave Flash stack.
Wave Flash stacks are obtainable through Ayato's normal and charged attacks.
Ayato's second constellation previously increases Wave Flash's maximum stack count to five. It also increases his max health by 40 percent if he has at least three Wave Flash Stacks.
Ayato's Arrival
Ayato is the second Hydro user that also uses a sword, with Liyue's Xingqiu being the first and only until Ayato's reveal. As such, players expect that he will most likely have great synergy with his cryo-wielding sister, Ayaka.
miHoYo previously revealed Ayato's character design on February 4 as part of the company's "drip marketing campaign," per an earlier iTech Post article. Additionally, he is rumored to be slated for release on "Genshin Impact's" 2.6 update along with a four-star character, Shikanoin Heizou - a detective under Inazuma's Tenryou Commission, who possesses Anemo-based attacks.
However, a Game Rant article reports that Ayato's specific release date is still unclear despite him being slated for release in version 2.6, which will come around April 10.
As such, we won't know if Ayato is released during the first or second half of version 2.6 until miHoYo comes out with official information.
