'Rainbow Six Siege Y7S1' Demon Veil Update Details: New Operator Kana 'Azami' Fujiwara

The "Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege" is finally starting its seventh year with the season Demon Veil. The update is introducing a new operator along with tons of other changes. The update is expected to drop on Tuesday, March 15.

Ubisoft "Rainbow Six Siege" is one of the oldest online tactical shooter games developed and published by Ubisoft. Although it is almost a decade old, this game is constantly receiving new updates that keep things fresh and exciting for gamers.

'Rainbow Six Siege' Demon Veil Update: The New Operator

Notably, the biggest highlight for the incoming patch is the operator named Azami. This is a defender-style operator who has the special ability to make changes with her surroundings thanks to her architectural skills.

According to Sportskeeda, Azami will be a two-speed, two-armor-rated operator. Her main gadget is kunai knives called Kiba Barriers, which spread cement-like structures on the surface it hits. These can serve as walls that players can hide or break.

Azami can access weapons like the 9X19SVN, ACS12, and D-50. Notably, her gadget options are either Impact Grenades or Barded Wire. Unfortunately, since Azami is a relatively new character, not many details are available regarding her playstyle.

Ubisoft North America posted a video preview for this latest operator in-game. The video emphasized that Azami has a lot of potential in the gameplay mechanics by setting up a stage that is favorable to her. Pro tips suggest Azami's skills can also be used as a floor for broken ceilings.

Since Azami is such a unique addition to "Rainbow Six Siege," some gamers are getting worried that the character will be too overpowered. CBR debunked these rumors, saying that Azami is a straightforward character that should be well-balanced in terms of gameplay.

The biggest challenge with Azami is the player's ability to be creative in the battlefield. Hopefully, players can immediately test her out via the Demon Veil soon.

'Rainbow Six Siege' New Season Updates

As previously mentioned, Azami is only one of the biggest changes coming to "Rainbow Six Siege." Traditionally, Ubisoft gives the game four major updates, which are released throughout the year. Ubisoft already revealed some of these details in its February Twitter post.

According to the tweet, developers are also adding a permanent game option which is called Team Deathmatch. Unfortunately for fans, there are no details regarding the game mechanics and rules for deathmatch.

The new update is also planning to add the Attacker Repick option. Sources speculate that this option will be available in all game modes, including ranked. This implies that gamers will be given a wider variety of choices in terms of gameplay. The user interface also improved because players can now pick their own preferred weapon sights through the Universal Weapon Sight option, per Sportskeeda.
