Apple enthusiasts expect this change since Apple is notable for upgrading its products not just design and feature wise, but also with its processors.
Given that the new iPad mini, which is a more affordable iPad than the Air, has the A15 Bionic processor inside, it's likely that the new iPad Air will have the same processor.
According to Tom's Guide, The A15 Bionic chip is known to be extremely powerful and fast. The A15 Bionic chip is also found in the iPhone 13 Pro models and is the most powerful of the bunch, delivering enhanced performance while also extending battery life by up to 50%.

Since nothing could be a better way to market the 5th-generation iPad Air than by introducing it with 5G connectivity, which is an advance over the current iPad Air's 4G cellular options.
As rep[orted by Forbes, the iPad Pro and iPad mini, in both their wifi-only and wifi-plus-cellular configurations, are both capable of 5G connectivity.
Once again, if it's on the iPad mini, it's almost certain to be replicated on the more costly iPad Air as well.
According to Tom's Guide, the iPad Air 5 is rumored to debut with specifications similar to the iPad mini 6. The similarities will include 5G connection and the A15 Bionic update.

iPad Air 5 New Cameras Upgrade

Apple enthusiasts are expecting a better camera quality with the rumored release of Apple's next line-up of iPad Air.
Since the camera performance of tablets such as the iPad Pro 2021 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has significantly improved in the past year.
Everyone is looking forward to seeing what enhancements Apple can make to the next iPad Air in that same time frame.
Furthermore, it appears as though the leaks that have resurfaced have been correct.
It is reported that the iPad Air 5 will be designed with a 12MP ultra-wide selfie camera that supports Apple's auto-framing Center Stage function.
This rumor seems to be true given that the auto-framing feature, which automatically changes the picture to keep a person in frame if they move, first appeared on the iPad Pro in 2021.
The auto-framing feature immediately established itself as one of the device's most useful features.
The iPad mini is equipped with a quad-led True Tone flash, although the iPad Air and the standard iPad are not. That this feature is rumored to be included in the next Air. Although there are no expectations that the next Air will be able to compete with the iPad Pro's two cameras or LiDAR scanner.
