Smartphones are constantly changing with the times. As better technologies are discovered, demand for these will eventually reach phone developers and eventually make their way to the devices that people know and love.
As the first quarter of 2022 draws to a close, here are the three smartphones that not only have great features but also have the best value.
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G ($204.99)
If you're looking for an Android phone that has good cameras and impressive performance for its price, then the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G could be the smartphone for you.
According to Samsung, a 2Ghz MediaTek Dimensity 720 Octa-Core CPU powers the Galaxy A32, which provides solid performance for a smartphone of its price, per PC Mag.
It also has four rear cameras that are made up of a 5MP(F2.4) Macro camera, an 8MP(F2.2) ultra-wide camera, a 48 MP (F1.8) main camera, and a 2MP (F2.4) Depth Camera, which captures excellent photos, even in low-light environments. The same cannot be said about its front camera, a 13MP (F2.2), despite the crispness and vividness of the photos the camera takes.
However, viewing the photos on this phone might leave you wanting to upload them to a computer and view them there later due to the low-res 720 display it came equipped with.
Despite that, it does have a 36-hour battery when used under typical usage conditions. This longevity means that gaming, taking photos, taking videos, and other productivity apps won't drain the phone's battery too much.
iPhone SE 2022 (starts at $429)
The iPhone SE 2022 may have been recently released, but its features and price are too irresistible to not add them to this list.
The phone's performance should be familiar to iPhone 13 users as it is powered by the same A15 Bionic processor. As such, it can handle launching apps and demanding tasks with ease. It makes the phone twice as fast as an iPhone 8, per a previous iTech Post article.
The iPhone SE 2022 also has a better battery and can support 15 hours of video playback, 10 hours of video streaming, and 50 hours of audio playback.
Simply put, the new iPhone SE's battery life is on par with the iPhone 12 mini, but less than the phones in the iPhone 13 lineup.

The phone also has a new camera system, which has a 2-megapixel ƒ/1.8 aperture wide camera that gives "incredible photography benefits." These benefits include Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Deep Fusion, and Portrait mode, which can recognize people.
Despite these, the iPhone SE 2022's camera doesn't have a night mode, meaning low-light environments aren't this phone's forte, per The Verge. Its design also didn't change; it has a 4.7-inch screen with thick bezels that could affect the seamlessness of what you can see with the phone, per Lifewire.
Despite the trade-offs done with the phone, Tom's Guide concludes that the phone's pros outweigh its cons.
Google Pixel 5A with 5G ($449)
The Google Pixel 5A is the more affordable but just as capable equivalent of the Google Pixel 5, per ZDNet's review. It offers a mix of high-end features and mid-range components that makes it budget-friendly without compromising quality.
Although the phone looks similar or the same as its predecessors, its performance does not. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 756G, which provides it with impressive graphics, immersive sound, 5G capabilities, and outstanding performance for all-day gaming, per Qualcomm.
It also boasts a two-day battery life in a full charge, which is a welcome fact for people always on the go.
The Google Pixel 5A's rear camera consists of a 12.2 MP (F1.7) dual-pixel camera that has autofocus, and a 77-degree field of view. Meanwhile, its front camera is an 8MP (F2.0) fixed focus camera with an 83-degree field of view. These specifications mean that photos show more but won't look like a fishbowl.
However, it lacks wireless charging and mmWave, but those may be a welcome tradeoff for what the Pixel 5A offers.
