The iOS 15 has brought about some pretty cool features that many owners of Apple devices are currently enjoying. In fact, many of these awesome features have to do with photos.
For example, did you know that the iOS 15 lets you use spotlight to search for photos? Or did you know that you can copy and paste text from photos?
Here are some of the photo-related tips and tricks for the iOS 15 that you might not know about:
iOS 15's Live Text Feature
iOS 15 has some features that you probably would not think is ever possible and one of which is called Live Text. According to an article by MacRumors, what this feature does is "recognize text when it appears in your camera's viewfinder or in a photo you've taken and let you perform several actions with it."
To try out this feature, what you have to do first is go to Photos and look for a photo that has text in it. If the text is too small, make sure to zoom in.
What you have to do next is press and hold on the words. You will also need to make sure that the text you want to copy is highlighted using the selection tool. Once you have highlighted your chosen text, take your finger off the screen and select Copy from the popup menu.
Launch any app that support text input, such as the Notes app, and then paste the copied text. To paste the text, simply hold and press wherever the cursor may be.
iOS 15's Photographic Styles Feature
If the usual photo filters just do not cut it for you anymore, then the Photographic Styles is the iOS 15 feature you should pay close attention to.
According to an article by Pocket-lint, "Unlike a simple filter, this adjusts things like warmth, brightness and contrast to create an aesthetic that will be applied to all of your photos when you snap them."
To access Photographic Styles, launch the Settings of your device and then head to Camera. Tap on Photographic Styles and choose between the styles to find one that best suits you.
iOS 15's Visual Lookup Feature
Did you know that you can use the Photos app to identify landmarks, animals, plants, and even works of art? Yes, that is possible now and that is all thanks to the iOS 15's Visual Lookup feature.
To use this very nifty feature, pick a photo from your Photos app that has a clearly defined subject. I can be any of the examples we have previously mentioned. It can even be a book.
After that, what you have to do next according to a separate article by MacRumors is to look at the info icon towards the bottom of the screen. The info icon is that one that looks like an "i." If it has a star, it means that you can use the Visual Lookup feature on the image.
