The PlayStation Network experienced an outage that has affected a number of its services. As of press time, the PlayStation Network is up and running once more.

A number of users have expressed that they were unable to sign into the network, among other issues. The PlayStation Network status page was updated to reflect the ongoing outage, followed by the subsequent fix.

The outage lasted for about 45 minutes before the issues were fixed.

PlayStation Network Experienced an Outage

PlayStation Network experienced a number of issues that affected numerous users, according to a report by The Verge. These issues, which caused an outage that lasted for around 45 minutes, have since been fixed

The report cites the PlayStation Network status page, which listed the following services as those that were experiencing issues:

  • Account management
  • Gaming and social
  • PlayStation Store

On Downdetector, there are more than 14,000 reports regarding the outage. Users on Reddit are likewise posting about having issues with using PlayStation Network as well.

PlayStation Network Outage: What were Users Complaining About?

According to the thread about the current outage on the r/playstation subreddit, many PlayStation Network users posted about being unable to connect at all. There are those who have also mentioned being unable to access apps such as Spotify.

Many users have expressed relief that they are not the only ones experiencing issues with the PlayStation Network as they initially feared that their accounts were either banned or hacked.
