Users can use numerous TikTok features on the phone app, but there are fewer options on the desktop. Unfortunately, the company does not currently have a native app for Windows or Mac.

Users can, however, always access the platform by going to the website in their browser.

The good news is that TikTok users can now edit the majority of their profile information via the desktop version, as per Screen Rant.

When browsing TikTok.com, users will see a new pop-up message informing them of the most recent update.

TikTok users will be able to alter the majority of their profile information, including their username, name, bio, and profile photo, after receiving the update.

Desktop users, on the other hand, will not be able to update their category or their YouTube or Instagram social links for the time being.

How To Modify Your Profile on Desktop?

On the desktop, users can modify their profile by:

  1. Clicking on the profile photo in the top-right corner
  2. Select 'View Profile'
  3. Go to 'Edit Profile' button

Could You See Who Viewed Your TikTok Profile?

According to Tech Story, users can check who has viewed their TikTok profile. However, this is not the case for everyone.

A few users have just reported that the "profile view history" feature is now accessible on their dashboard. However, the component isn't accessible to all users. TikTok is most likely testing the feature right now and will most likely roll it out to all of its users soon.

While it appears to be good news for some people, a few clients — more likely the stalkers — are concerned.

What Exactly Is the Profile View History Feature?

Users can view who has viewed their profile in the previous 30 days by using this feature, as per Tech Story. Users can simply switch on the component to see who is watching their TikTok.

When someone "sneaks" at a user's profile, TikTok will send the user a notification to let him know that someone has looked at it. In the notification tab, the user may view a list of who has visited his profile.

How To Enable or Disable TikTok Profile View History

If you're one of the fortunate users who has this feature right now, here's how to enable profile view history on TikTok, according to Tech Story:

  1. Open TikTok and select the Profile icon.
  2. On the top bar, tap the eye icon.
  3. To enable profile view history, click Turn on. To disable profile view history, click toggle off Profile view history.
  4. You have successfully enabled or disabled the profile view history highlight.

How To Keep People From Viewing Your Profile and TikTok Videos

However, if users want to control the people who could only view their TikToks, Metro said that they might consider keeping their TikTok account private if they want to control who sees their TikToks.

To accomplish this, take these steps:

  1. Go to the 'Me' section.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the three-line icon.
  3. Select 'Privacy.'
  4. Go to the 'Private Account' tab.
