Windows' Control Panel is one of the most useful tools the operating system has. It allows you to modify and/or remove programs, manage your devices and their firmware, personalize your computer, and check the computer's back up and computer's status.
However, opening the Control Panel could be a bit troublesome as you have to search for it on Windows' search bar.
Although Microsoft has added a new settings app for Windows 11 that allows users to do almost the same things as on the classic Control Panel, it isn't a perfect replacement, and as such, the classic one is still needed to be accessed.
Thankfully, the operating system has a folder that makes accessing the contents of the Control Panel faster and easier.
This is the point where Windows 11's God Mode comes in.
What Is God Mode?
Windows 11's God mode is a folder containing shortcuts to most or all options provided by the Control Panel, according to XDA Developers. The existence of the God Mode folder is nothing if not convenient as it allows you to access the Control Panel without actually opening the Control Panel itself.
The God Mode folder not only gives you access to the Control Panel's contents, but it also offers support for up to 206 settings and the ones that were removed or missing after updating your computer, per Bleeping Computer.
How To Access Windows 11's God Mode
To access God Mode, you'll want to create a new folder on your desktop. You can of course, create a new fold anywhere, but since the desktop is the first thing you see whn opening your computer, putting the new folder here will be convenient for you in future uses.
If you don't know how to create a new folder, right click on an empty area of your the desktop and hover your mouse first on "New." this action will make a new menu pop up that lists several options for you. click on the "Folder" option to create a new folder.
Once you have a new folder created, name the folder as "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the quotation marks and then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. Once that's done, the folder's name will disappear, and the folder's icon should change into that of the Control Panel icon.
In some cases, however, the folder may not display the traditional Control Panel icon after inputing the previously specified Folder name, but by the icon of the Settings app instead.
Regardless, from this "God Mode" Control Panel folder you created, you'll be able to access all the settings that comes in the traditional control panel or Settings app. Since the "God Mode" Control Panel shortcut you created is still a folder, you can drag and drop any setting you want from there to the desktop for easier access.
