Dell's New XPS 13 Plus: Laptop From the Future
XPS 13 Plus, with a radically minimalist design and "seamless" touchpad, quad speakers, and one of the best edge-to-edge displays around, looked like something from 2025 instead of 2022, as per Windows Central.
According to The Verge, this new version of the XPS 13 has a more futuristic-looking design than Dell's standard model. It has a unique Plus' Touch Bar-like row of backlit function keys, and a keyboard, which sits flush with the chassis.
Additionally, there's the new trackpad that's invisible to the eye but takes up a similar amount of real estate within the middle of the glass-covered wrist rest. And instead of physically clicking in, the trackpad hardware emulates the click with haptic feedback, The Verge reported.
Dell can go up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1280P with 14 cores, as well as up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. A Developer Edition of the XPS 13 Plus that will ship with Ubuntu 20.04 and will cost $1,249.99 will also be available.
