We already know that AT&T will be bringing the 5-inch BlackBerry A10 to its customers in the fall. A new video has leaked, giving us a tour of the A10 and a comparison with the Z10.
BlackBerry is getting ready to release its fourth BB10 smartphone - its upcoming BlackBerry A10. The A10 will be the largest handset released by the company thanks to its 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. We reported on leaked images of the smartphone's back case, which show that AT&T will offer the device to its subscribers in the future. A new video has now leaked out of Vietnam, giving a glimpse into what to expect.
You'll need to understand Vietnamese to get an idea of the presenter's impressions of the BlackBerry A10, but in case you don't, the video does provide a great look at the build of the smartphone and how it compares next to the BlackBerry Z10. The A10 appears to have a brighter and richer screen when compared to the Z10, which seems to back up claims that BlackBerry will be using a Super AMOLED display in the new smartphone compared to the LCD panel found on the Z10. The design of the A10 is similar to the Z10 but appears to be a little rounder and also a bit thinner.
The tour of the device shows that the A10 will ship with its micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports located on the left side, BlackBerry's traditional three-button volume rocker is on its right, while the power and headphone port are located on the top of the device, just like on the Z10. We are also shown the A10 with its back cover removed, revealing a microSD and micro-SIM slot. The video also confirms previous rumors that the A10 will include a large 2,800 mAh battery.
The latest rumors claim the BlackBerry A10 will feature a 5-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display, run BB10 OS 10.2, pack a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a separate GPU (graphics processing unit). The smartphone will also reportedly include 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-HDMI port, microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards, and a removable 2,800 mAh battery.
The video also confirms that the device will be headed to AT&T, thanks to its logo on the back case. The most recent rumors claim it will go on sale in the fall.
