The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is one of the best smartwatches currently on the market thanks to its excellent performance, lightweight design, and its affordability despite its inconsistent and relatively short battery life, according to Tom's Guide and CNET reviews.

Amazon previously dropped the price of the Galaxy4 smartwatches it's selling in March, but it seems it can go even lower.

A recent report from Engadget mentioned that Amazon is selling the Bluetooth-only version of Samsung's Galaxy Watch4 at a new all-time low for the smartwatch.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 previously retailed at $209 on Amazon in late March, according to a separate article from Tom's Guide.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Price Drop Details

According to Engadget's article, the Bluetooth-only version of Samsung's best smartwatch is now being sold on Amazon for $174, $76 less than its original retail price of $250.

The smartwatch had been on sale in March and April, with the smartwatch having a digital price tag of $209. It also came along with a free $50 Google Play credit, which can be used to purchase apps, games, and digital content on Google Play, per Google Support's page.

It is unknown why Amazon dropped the price of Samsung's Galaxy Watch4 smartwatch. However, there could be some probable causes.

According to Tech Radar, the Samsung Galaxy Watch3 went on sale on Amazon for $229.99 in May 2021. This price drop reduced the Galaxy Watch3's price by $170.

This price cut happened a few months before the Galaxy Watch4 was launched and released in August 2021, per Samsung's press release about the Galaxy Watch4.

Therefore, it is highly probable that a new Galaxy Watch will be released in the coming months at least or the immediate future at most. There are already rumors of a Galaxy Watch5 coming out later this year, with the future smartwatch's pro model being rumored to be equipped with a huge 572 mAh battery that could bring a 60% increase in battery capacity compared to the Galaxy Watch4.

Another probable reason why the price was dropped was due to rumors of Google either teasing or fully introducing its first-ever consumer smartwatch, the Google Pixel Watch, at its upcoming Google I/O event on May 11.

Regardless of the price drop, this may be your chance at getting Samsung's best smartwatch at a much cheaper price.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is said to be designed as a fitness watch first and a general-use smartwatch next. It has built-in workout tracking that automatically recognizes six types of activity, including a running coaching tech that assesses your oxygen levels during your run. This assessment is possible thanks to its 3-in-1 biometric sensor that has sleep-tracking features, body mass scans, and blood oxygen detection.

The smartwatch comes equipped with Wear OS, which has better third-party app support than its previous versions. You can also download apps from the Google Play Store and use various gestures that will let you answer or dismiss calls with a flick of a wrist or arm.

However, its battery life can only last a day or two at most, and its ECG and blood pressure features require a Samsung phone to use. It also has Bixby instead of Google Assitant as its virtual assistant.

Nevertheless, the Galaxy Watch4 is a great smartwatch to have.
