A new deal from Amazon is offering the 16GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S3 for $0.01 and the 32GB version for $24.99 when signing a new 2-year contract with Sprint.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 remains one of the most popular smartphones on the market. Even though the Galaxy S4 is Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the older smartphone still has impressive specs and unique software that make it a worthy choice for smartphone buyers. Samsung is also rumored to be working on providing an OTA update for the Galaxy S3 that will bring the just-announced Android 4.3 OS to the smartphone. The company is also expected to include some of the new features found on the Galaxy S4 in the update.
Some of the features users can expect are new lock screen widgets, which will allow you to see information on the display without unlocking the device. S-Voice is Samsung's digital assistant for its smartphones and works in a similar manner to Apple's iOS assistant, Siri. Users can also expect an updated version of the company's voice control software, which will allow them to control different functions of the smartphone simply by using their voice. Samsung-exclusive apps will also have the ability to run in full-screen mode. Those are only a few of the features expected to come to the Galaxy S3 with the Android 4.3 update.
The Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 4.8-inch, 306 pixels per inch (ppi) 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display, runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (expected to receive Android 4.3 in the near future), is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, includes 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with zero shutter lag and LED Flash, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video capture (rear camera), 720p HD video capture (front-facing camera), a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a microSD slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards and a 2,100 mAh removable battery.
