Much has been said about the Game 7 of the Dallas Mavericks against the Phoenix Suns. Much of what has been said about it involves two players who played in the game — none other than Luka Dončić and Devin Booker.
In fact, a photo of Dončić smiling at Booker during the game has been making its rounds on Twitter and needless to say, the Twitterverse has been having its fun with it, especially after Booker's "The Luka Special" remark went viral after Game 5 of the series.
So what is the deal with the smiling Dončić photo and "The Luka Special" remark from the previous game?
Luka Dončić, Mavericks Beat Devin Booker, Suns in Game 7
But before we get to that, let's provide some context first.
ICYMI, the Dallas Mavericks are heading to the Western Conference finals after winning Game 7 of their series against the Phoenix Suns, 123-90. "The Mavericks jumped out to a 57-27 lead over the top-seeded Phoenix Suns on Sunday night and never looked back on their way to a 123-90 win," CBS Sports says in its report.
The Mavericks' Luka Dončić finished the game with 35 points while teammates Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson had 30 points and 24 points, respectively. These impressive numbers are nowhere in sight for the Suns as their top scorer, Cam Johnson, only had 12 points. Devin Booker only managed to score 11 points throughout the game.
The second quarter of the game was particularly unimpressive for the Suns after they scored just 10 points. In contrast, the Mavericks scored 30.

Much has been said about Dončić and Booker throughout the series, especially after the latter's "The Luka Special" remark that quickly went viral after Game 5.
In case you are unware of where the "The Luka Special" came from, The SportsRush says in its report that "In the 3rd quarter of Game 5, Booker was seen flopping around after a foul on him and said 'The Luka Special' on camera for the world to see, while his Suns breezed past the Mavericks 110-80 in that game."
Many fans have commented on social media that the comment has backfired on Booker. In fact, Twitterverse, in particular, is having its fun with a photo of Dončić smiling at Booker while both were on the court during Game 7.
Here are some of the memes and tweets that have cropped up about it:
Unsurprisingly, there have been numerous references regarding the so-called "Kardashian Curse" going on in the NBA. It should be noted that Booker's girlfriend is model Kendall Jenner.
