A new image of what is supposedly the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has leaked and a news report from South Korea reveals the specs of the phabet.
Samsung is getting ready to launch its next-generation Galaxy Note 3 phablet this fall. The company is expected to unveil its newest Galaxy note smartphone at the IFA trade show in Berlin on September 4. Samsung has previously used the show to debut the Galaxy Note 2 and the original Galaxy Note.
A new report by MK News claims that Samsung has chosen to go with a 5.7-inch display for the Galaxy Note 3. The publication is reporting that Samsung was originally planning to launch the phablet with a 5.99-inch display, but Samsung reportedly changed the design after analyzing consumer response to its Galaxy Mega smartphones. The Galaxy Mega series consists of a 5.8-inch and a 6.3-inch smartphone. The company apparently believes that 5.7-inches is the perfect size and, if the MK Neews report proves to be true, the Galaxy Note 3's display will see a .2-inch increase over the display of the Note 2.
The publication also claims to have received information from a credible source on the final specs of the phablet. According to the report, the Galaxy Note 3 will ship with the aforementioned 5.7-inch display, will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, it will use the newly-announced 3GB RAM modules Samsung has created, pack a 4G LTE-Advanced radio that can produce speeds of up to 180Mbps, and run on the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The report also claims that the Note 3 will include improved multitasking features and more advanced S-Pen applications.
Techkiddy recently leaked images of what it claims is the Galaxy Note 3 being worked on at Samsung's testing center. A new image has been posted that shows the device to be more round than the initial leak. The image shows a handset that resembles the design of the Galaxy S4 and also appears to have a metal ring circling the body of the phablet.
It's always best to take these images and reports with a big grain of salt. The IFA show is only a few weeks away, so it won't be long until Samsung makes it official.
