TikTok's top-performing videos could be turned into ads thanks to its latest ad product.
The video-sharing giant recently announced it is launching Branded Mission, TikTok's latest ad product that allows brands to collaborate with creators to co-create branded content easily.
TikTok's latest ad product is only limited to TikTok users 18-years-old and above.
TikTok Branded Mission - A Deeper Look
According to TikTok's announcement, Branded Mission is an industry-first ad solution that enables advertisers to crowdsource authentic content from TikTok creators, turn top-performing videos into ads, and improve brand affinity with media impressions.
As such, Branded Mission works as a two-way engagement between brands and creators that lets members of the TikTok community be creatively involved in ads that are part of a brand campaign and help brands discover other creators on TikTok's video-sharing platform.
More specifically, advertisers that use TikTok's Branded Mission can engage the TikTok community to participate in branded campaigns by developing a brief and releasing it to TikTok's creator community for them to analyze and participate.
Once a TikTok content creator accepts a brand's brief, they'll need to post a video following that brief to participate in the Branded mission. This video will be inspected by the brand in question, with it selecting its favorite original creative videos and amplifying them through promoted ad traffic.

Finally, brands now have more opportunities to discover trends within TikTok's platform and engage with its broad ecosystem of content creators of various creativity and talent. However, TikTok creators have to be at least 18-years-old with more than 1,000 followers to be eligible to participate in a Branded Mission.
TikTok said that creators participating in a Branded Mission and having their creation selected by a brand would receive a cash payment and boosted traffic thanks to the brand selecting it to be promoted for ad traffic.
Additionally, each Branded Mission page will display the potential earning opportunity so creators can decide if they want to participate in one or not.
"We have seen how TikTok unlocks real-world opportunity for creators and brands through the power of discovery, and we will continue learning from creators and evolving our products in available markets to provide a valuable experience for our community," TikTok said in its announcement.
TikTok Branded Mission Status and Release Date
TikTok's Branded Mission is currently being beta tested and is available to brands in more than a dozen markets, Tech Crunch said in its article, adding that the ad product will be available in additional markets later in 2022.
It is unknown when TikTok will officially release Branded Mission to the public.
However, the product has been tested for quite some time, with a Reddit user in the subreddit r/TikTokhelp claiming that one of their videos is being included in an active Branded Mission out of the blue around three months ago as of the publication of this article.
