Even though the Galaxy S4 is Samsung's current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3 still packs strong specs and features that make it a solid choice when looking for a new smartphone. The Galaxy S3 has been a very popular smartphone with consumers, not to mention that it was the handset that gave Apple a run for its money and catapulted Samsung to becoming the world's top smartphone manufacturer. Samsung still releases regular updates for the S3, so you can feel confident in knowing that your smartphone will continue to be supported through OTA updates.

We just reported that AT&T has released an update for the Galaxy S3 that includes an upgrade to Android 4.1.2 and it also offers something Galaxy S3 users have been waiting for - the Samsung Premium Suite upgrade, which adds some really cool features to the smartphone. Users can look forward to using Multi Window on the S3, which allows you to open two different apps at the same time in two different windows on your smartphone's screen. Auto Share Shot with NFC allows you to set the camera to "Auto Share Shot" mode, allowing you to quickly share your photos and videos by simply tapping your Galaxy S3 with other NFC and S-Beam-enabled devices. The camera has been updated with new features like Paper artist and best face options. Android 4.1.2 also includes bug fixes, SD card improvements and S-Voice enhancements. Samsung is also rumored to be working on releasing Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S3 in the near future.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 4.8-inch, 1280 x 720 resolution Super AMOLED HD display with a pixel density of 306 pixels per inch (ppi). The smartphone ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (is upgraded out ot the box to Android 4.1.2 and Samsung Premium Suite upgrade) and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The S3 includes 16GB of internal memory and 2GB of RAM. Photo buffs will appreciate the 8-megapixel rear camera with zero shutter lag, LED Flash, and 1080p video capture. The front facing 1.9-megapixel front facing camera can capture 720p HD video capture. As far as wireless connectivity goes, it includes a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. You'll be able to increase the internal storage by using the microSD slot, which allows you to insert and use up to 64GB microSD cards. The Galaxy S3 also includes a 2,100 mAh removable battery.
