Cordon Said 'Crash Bandicoot' Will be a Multiplayer Title

According to Rand al Thor, they think Toys For Bob will show off a new Crash Bandicoot game.

Afterwards, Cordon talked about what this game will look like, saying it'll be a multiplayer title, as per NME report.

"I think we could see a new Crash Bandicoot, and not only is it going to be a new Crash Bandicoot it's going to be a multiplayer Crash Bandicoot. It's like a four player brawler almost, but Crash oriented," said Cordon.

With Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time developer Toys For Bob celebrating the character's 25th anniversary last September, there has been an ongoing talk of Crash Bandicoot game. This escalated further with the greetings "happy 25th anniversary Crash, we'll see more of you very soon."

In connection, Activision Blizzard had rolled in all of its internal studios to work on Call Of Duty games. In Twitter, Toys For Bob also confirmed that it was helping out with Season 3 of Warzone.

At that time, many speculated that Toys for Bob will no longer make any new Crash game, but since previous projects remained under wraps, other projects are still possible.

At the start of this year, Microsoft said that it wants to use the Activision Blizzard acquisition to revive older franchises.

According to Xbox head Phil Spencer, "I'm looking forward to these conversations. I really think it's about adding resources and increasing capability."

Microsoft has yet to complete its acquisition deal, but when it does it'll own the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon, according to NME.

Crash Bandicoot Has Been Delighting Fans for 26 Years

For over the last 26 years, the Crash Bandicoot series has built-up a passionate fanbase.

According to Comicbook, appearing on the original PlayStation back in 1996, Crash was initially positioned as a mascot to compete with Nintendo's Mario and Sega's Sonic.

However, the plan changed a few years later, when then-owner Universal Interactive decided to make Crash games on all platforms.

The trend was continued by Activision with Crash Bandicoot 4, releasing the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, it's unclear if that might change as a result of Xbox's plan to purchase the publisher, as per Comicbook.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time seemed to give a clue that a sequel was in progress.

With this, last year, many fans were disappointed when it looked like Toys for Bob might not make another series entry.

Crash Bandicoot 4 was very well-received by fans.
