Metal Gear series and 2019's Death Standing director Hideo Kojima is reportedly working on a new horror game entitled Overdose.
The new horror game will reportedly star Margaret Qualley, who played Mama in Death Stranding.
According to GameSpot, the leak comes from Tom Henderson for Try Hard Guides. According to Henderson, he have seen "early footage" of Overdose showing Qualley in a blue dress, and roaming in dark corridors while holding a flashlight.
It's already known that Kojima is working on something, however there is no official information yet whether it's a new horror game or Death Stranding 2.
Kojima is Not New to Horror Genre
According to Henderson, the sequence peaks a jump scare, then afterwards, on screen was a Game Over message. Reportedly, "A Hideo Kojima Game... OVERDOSE" followed.
This isn't Kojima's first time to work with horror. In fact, the director was set to work with a new entry in Konami's beloved Silent Hill series. However, after his public fallout with the publisher in 2015, the project was officially cancelled.
In the past years, there have been hints from that suggests his return to the horror genre. There might be a potential collaboration with famed manga artist Junji Ito.
The emergence of Overdose coincides with Kojima's hints at wanting to create "the scariest horror game." However, as of present, assuming its veracity, it is not clear yet when and where the project might be revealed.
According to Eurogamer, last summer, words began to spread that Microsoft was negotiating with Kojima to publish the productions' next title. A good place to start is this Sunday's Xbox/Bethesda showcase.
If Overdose happened to be real, it would be the second project at Kojima Productions that is rumoured to be in development.
Just recently, according to actor Norman Reedus, he had "just started" working on a second Death Stranding game. However, the sequel is not yet officially unveiled.

Who is Hideo Kojima?
Hideo Kojima is considered as an auteur of video games. He is a Japanese video game designer, director, producer, and writer.
During his childhood and adolescence, Kojima developed a strong passion for action/adventure cinema and literature.
Kojima was hired by Konami 1986. We designed and wrote Metal Gear (1987) for the MSX2. The game started the foundations for stealth games and the Metal Gear series. The series is considered as his best known and most appreciated works.
Kojima is also recognized for producing the Zone of the Enders series. He is also known for writing and designing Snatcher (1988) and Policenauts (1994). These graphic adventure games are regarded for their cinematic presentation.
In 2005, Kojima established Kojima Productions within Konami. In 2011, he was appointed vice president of Konami Digital Entertainment.
In 2015, Kojima Productions was separated from Konami. It becomes an independent studio since then. In 2019, Death Stranding, their first game, was released.
During his work years, Kojima has been noted for predicting and exploring themes. This is before they gained mainstream notoriety, which ranges from the sociological to the scientific.
