The "Lightyear" voice actor, Chris Evans, tweeted a heartfelt farewell to his iPhone 6s.
"RIP iPhone 6s. We had a good run. I'll miss your home button. I won't miss the nightly battle of trying to get you to charge. Or your grainy pictures. Or your sudden drops from 100% battery, to 15%, to completely dead all within minutes. It was a wild ride. Rest easy, pal," Evans tweeted.
Evans Upgrades to a More Modern iPhone 13
Fortunately, the star of Apple TV+'s "Defending Jacob" series appears to have upgraded to a more modern iPhone 13 unit, according to 9to5Mac.
Although the iPhone 6s still runs on the latest version of iOS, this will not last for long when when iOS 16 is released in September. "Apple is dropping the first-gen iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 7 from software support this fall," according to 9to5Mac.
We can easily explain why Evans is experiencing issues with his iPhone that eventually lead up to its untimely end. The iPhone 6s, which was released Sept. 25, 2015, was part of Apple's 9th generation of phones. This means that it is a few iterations ago now.
By smartphone's standard, the iPhone 6s is old. In fact, when Apple released its 12th generation of phones in 2018, it has been discontinued. Currently, is in its 15th generation of iPhone.
Even when it was still fairly new, the iPhone 6S already have a few unexpected power issues. In fact, Apple offered battery replacements in 2016. There is no information whether Evans was among those that had battery replacement.
But given that Evan's iPhone 6s worked perfectly for seven years can be considered a good deal already.

Evans Appears Not to be a Big Fan of Latest Tech
The news of Evans owning an iPhone 6s at this present day is not surprising. Despite being an internationally famous actor who could probably afford to purchase a new phone, he never depicted himself as a person who's a fan of latest tech.
While some of tech lovers will immediately queue up to get their hands on the latest new phone, Evans seems to be someone who would sensibly choose get the most out of their gadget before having an upgrade.
In his heartfelt farewell, Evans also recognized his iPhone 6s's home button. The home button was removed from Apple's flagship phones when iPhone X was introduced in the market in 2017.
However, Apple hasn't completely left out the home button. According to Mashable, "while the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro rely on Face ID for their biometric unlock, the third generation iPhone SE still uses the home button."
While iPhone SE's internal hardware is more on par with the iPhone 13, it shares a form factor with the iPhone 8, which is just a bit bigger than the iPhone 6s, Mashable stated.
