Why Grumpy Cat Looked so Grumpy?

On April 4, 2012, Grumpy Cat was born in Morristown, Arizona. Her owner is Tabatha Bundesen.

On September 23, 2012, Grumpy Cat's original photos were posted to the /r/pics subreddit by Bundesen's brother, Bryan.

Perhaps, many of the internet users are wondering why Grumpy Cat looked so grumpy. According to her owners, Grumpy Cat's perpetual frown and small size are attributed to feline dwarfism and an underbite. This is why she always looks grumpy.

There are plenty of cats who have been famous online. But, Grumpy Cat's standing among the many online cats is unique.

Grumpy Cat's grumpy looks allowed her to become a cultural phenomenon. And it is a cultural phenomenon that far exceeded the internet.

During the height of her fame, she "appeared on talk shows, drew crowds at SXSW, and appeared in promotions for Cheerios and Friskies," according to The Verge.

A Grumpy Cat holiday movie, "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," was even made by Lifetime. The movie was directed by the guy who made the 2007 "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie. Aubrey Plaza was Grumpy Cat's voice.
